The disciplinary system is a means of implementing adjudication procedures for graduate and undergraduate students accused of violations of the University 行为准则, a set of standards which governs the behavior of all members of the University community.

Disciplinary actions are implemented on the University campus where an infraction has occurred regardless of where the concerned student or students may be attending classes in the University system.  Disciplinary actions are implemented on the University campus where a student is attending classes, regardless of where the infraction occurred within the University system. 

The Director of Student Affairs is the Judicial Affairs representative at the Penn State Brandywine campus.  Please refer to your copy of Policies & Rules for Students for a detailed explanation of the procedures.

What is Title IX?

Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any program or activity including, but not limited to:

1. Educational programs or activities, e.g., student services, academic counseling, 纪律, classroom assignment, 分级, 体育运动, recreation and study abroad;

2. Admission and recruitment, e.g., financial aid, housing;

3. Medical services, including psychological counseling.

UNLAWFUL DISCRIMINATORY BEHAVIORS UNDER TITLE IX

  • SEXUAL HARASSMENT (unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature)
  • SEXUAL MISCONDUCT (强奸, 性侵犯, 性电池, sexual exploitation and other forms of non-consensual sexual activity)
  • 跟踪 (repeatedly following, 骚扰, threatening or intimidating including by telephone, 邮件, electronic communication or social media)
  • 约会暴力 (including emotional, verbal, and economic abuse without the presence of physical abuse)
  • DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (including emotional, verbal, and economic abuse without the presence of physical abuse)
  • 报复 (adverse employment, academic or other actions against anyone reporting or participating in an investigation of Title IX allegations)

REPORTING PROHIBITED BEHAVIOR

Members of the University community who believe that a Title IX violation may have occurred, should discuss their concerns and/or file a complaint with the University Title IX Coordinator:
